Q: When is The Cottages at Troutburg open?
A: We are open from April 1 to December 1. We will have extension options available for those who wish to stay on until the end of December, which will include sharing in any applicable snowplowing costs.
Q: We’re curious how things are coming along with the community and cottages – is there someplace we can get updates?
A: Absolutely. Visit us on Facebook and like our page to receive more frequent updates on progress around the community and with individual cottages. We update several times per week and often post pictures from around Troutburg and share news on things to come!
Q: Why do some of the plans have limited closet space?
A: While some of our plans offer a good amount of closet space, others have limited closets. See our new models with ample closets and additional full baths.
Q: Will more models be built?
A: Yes! We have three beautiful new models. Our new, larger improved two-bedroom “Ranch,” the two-bedroom “Cape II,” and the largest, our three-bedroom “Chalet.” These new models have improved layout, added closet space and the ranch features beautiful vaulted ceilings in the living room.
Q: Can you buy a model?
A: Yes! We currently have upgraded models for sale. You can take immediate possession and start enjoying the summer at Troutburg right away. Just ask an agent from the sales team if you are interested in one.
Q: Can you dock your boat at Troutburg?
A: While we will have a permanent pier at Troutburg where you are able to dock your boat temporarily during the day, you are not able to dock your boat overnight. There is a public boat launch two exits to the east off the parkway and the Eagle Creek Marina is one exit to the west off the parkway. Eagle Creek has reserved slips just for our residents. We also have an open storage lot available for your boat, trailer, or RV.
Q: Do any of the models have two full baths?
A: Yes! Our newest two-bedroom “Cape II” and three-bedroom “Chalet” have full-sized bathrooms on the main level and upstairs.
Q: Can you build any cottage on any site?
A: For the most part, any cottage can be built on any site; however, there are a handful of sites that are restricted by size.
Q: Can I use an ATV at Troutburg?
A: No, ATVs are not permitted.
Q: Can I bring my dog to Troutburg?
A: Yes, this is a pet friendly community. Of course, general rules apply- picking up pet droppings, dogs on leash, etc.
Q: Can I get a mortgage for a Cottage purchase?
A: Yes, mortgages are available for The Cottages at Troutburg. Generally 15-20% down is required. Ask a member of the sales team for mortgage information.
Q: Can we stay year-round?
A: At this point in time, we are open and have approval for the dates listed above.
